DISASTER!
Written by Seth Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick, Disaster! is a 1970’s disaster movie musical, featuring all hit songs from the decade! It played at the Nederlander Theater in 2016, garnering the coveted New York Times “Critics’ Pick” and Best Feature Actress Tony nomination.
It’s 1979 and New York’s hottest A-listers are lining up for the opening of Manhattan’s first floating casino and discotheque. But what begins as a night of boogie fever quickly changes to panic as the ship succumbs to multiple disasters such as earthquakes, tidal waves, and infernos. As the night turns in today everyone struggles to survive and, quite possibly, repair the love they’ve lost…or at least escape to killer rats!
Set in the wildest decade ever, DISASTER! is packed with unforgettable 70’s dance floor hits including “I will survive”, “Knock on Wood” “Hooked on a Feeling” “Sky High” “I am Woman” and “Hot Stuff” click here for the full synopsis.
SETH’S BIG FAT BROADWAY SHOW
This award-winning tour-de-force has played all over the USA as well as to a sold-out crowd in London where it received 5-star reviews and was called “Blindingly brilliant” “Fantastic” “Hysterical”, a “must-see” and “Nothing short of brilliant”!
I was not prepared for what I discovered: the videos of Seth Rudetsky and his deconstruction of songs, shows, and Broadway singers. It was one long, deep, and totally fascinating rabbit hole that lasted the whole way to and from Chicago into my days babysitting in Princeton. It changed the way I looked at a song and the art of Broadway singing. He opened my eyes to complexities and choices that I didn’t know existed. My friend in Princeton said this was what performers studied in musical theatre performance classes for years, but I studied set design so I had no introduction to this. Seth’s enthusiasm and attention to detail, in a manner that I had never even knew existed was intoxicating and mesmerizing. I had no idea the thought and detailed examination that went into Ben Platt’s rendition of ‘Waving Through the Window’ or any other utterly fascinating performances that I was about to be lead through by this musical director and, in my eyes, a true enthusiast.

Broadway Concert Series
Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky hosts and music directs his acclaimed international concert series online. These up-close and personal weekly concerts will feature Broadway’s biggest stars in a seamless mix of intimate behind-the-scenes stories prompted by Seth’s funny, insightful and revealing questions – and the songs from each star’s stellar Broadway career.
“Seth is quite simply, astonishing, for so many reasons. Of course, we all know him as the “savant” that he is and a larger than life personality and Sirius XM On Broadway star, but he’s also a skillful musician, a terrific singer and a formidable acting partner to anyone who shares the stage with him. He’s generous, funny, knowledgeable and INSANE, in the best possible way. What makes these shows so diabolical is that “HE is US” and asks the questions we want to ask AND wants to hear the songs WE want to hear, too. Then, of course, there are always surprises. Musically, Seth is a human metronome. He is ALWAYS “in the pocket” of the song and knows the songs inside out, both musically and lyrically. He is also an unabashed FAN of those he works with. THAT IS THE REAL KEY to his SUCCESS with ARTISTS.

Rhapsody in Seth
The play the New York Times called,
“Freshly funny” and “snappily directed”
RHAPSODY IN SETH chronicles the trials and tribulations (emphasis on trials!) of growing-up-a-musical-theater-lover in Hewlett, Long Island. Writer/performer Seth takes audiences on a musical journey from his early days as a young piano star, to his musings on favorite divas and first-ladies of the stage, to run-ins with the school bully and a barely-averted lawsuit with Hewlett High School over a nasty quip immortalized in print in the school yearbook!
Big Fat 70’s Variety Show
SiriusXM Radio star Seth Rudetsky is excited to show you his own personal 70s Variety Show video collection! He’ll spend the entire show doing his signature deconstructions of the mind-boggling variety and awards shows of the 1970s ranging from the short-lived Brady Bunch Variety Hour (featuring “fake Jan” and Alice dancing up a storm) to Donny & Marie “funking out” as well as Cher performing every role in a “West Side Story” medley. FOR REAL! Have you ever seen the Sweathogs dancing with Milton Berle and Tina Turner? You will!
