Ragtime, Jersey Boys, Anything Goes

Colin is currently playing Father in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Ragtime. On stage, Colin Donnell most recently appeared on Broadway in The Shark is Broken and starred as ‘Russell Hammond’ in the musical adaptation of Almost Famous at The Old Globe. His Broadway credits include Violet, Anything Goes (earning Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Award nominations), and Jersey Boys. Additional stage work includes Follies, Merrily We Roll Along, Lady Be Good (New York City Center Encores!), Love’s Labour’s Lost (Shakespeare in the Park), and Meet Me in St. Louis. He has also toured nationally with productions of Wicked and Mamma Mia. On screen, Donnell can most recently be seen starring opposite Robert De Niro in Netflix’s Zero Day and as the lead in Peacock’s Irreverent. He is well known for his roles as ‘Dr. Connor Rhodes’ on NBC’s Chicago Med, ‘Tommy Merlyn’ on The CW’s Arrow, and ‘Scott Lockhart’ on Showtime’s The Affair. Additional television credits include Pan Am, Person of Interest, and The Mysteries of Laura. His film work includes Every Secret Thing, alongside Diane Lane and Elizabeth Banks, and Almost Love, opposite Michelle Buteau. Born in St. Louis, Donnell now resides in New York with his wife, Patti Murin, and their two daughters, Cecily and Lorelai.
